Subaru Could Be Stronger
I wish the writers gave Subaru more strength and abilities. His development has been extremely slow. I love Re:Zero but it would be better if they didn't make the main character look so weak.
Banning All Anime in Texas Makes Absolutely No Sense
I understand where they are coming from but at the same time I don’t. There are so many light hearted anime that don’t have the sexual themes they meantion in the Bill. It’s a bit extreme.
Frieren Never Loved Himmel
I believe that Frieren crying at Himmel’s funeral shows that she truly cared for him. However, it doesn’t prove that she was in love with him. She saw him as a friend and comrade
Sword Art Online Would Be Terrifying to Live In
Just think about it - video games finally reach a stage of development in which you can literally enter the world and explore as the playable character. This is pretty much every gamer's wildest dream. Then, imagine being stuck in that game, which is new and very likely unfamiliar to most people involved. And the worst part? If you die in the game, you die in real life. Would that not be the most terrifying thing? I'm just thinking about how many times I've failed a tricky boss fight or made a silly error during exploration in games. I'm fairly certain I'd be a goner in no time! How long do you think you'd last in a 'Sword Art Online' situation?
Which Member of Kuroko's Basketball's Generation of Miracles is Your Favorite?
I actually did play basketball for a solid 12+ years, so I've always found many of the Generation of Miracles talents to be fun and amusing. However, my favorite character is Akashi, purely for the fact that his talent is absolutely ridiculous. Some Generation of Miracles individuals have superior shooting skills, defensive abilities, or the ability to learn and copy movies of others. Akashi, on the other hand, is paired with skilled ball handling skills and a 'magic eye' that grants him the ability to 'see the future' by predicting movements - helping him to constantly fake out and break the ankles of his defenders. This was both highly amusing to watch, but undeniably epic - as it was done in that classic anime way.
Which Member of Demon Slayer's Kamaboko Squad is Your Favorite?
I'd have to say Zenitsu. We don't really see a whole lot of known Thunder Breathing users, so it's interesting to see Zenitsu use his skills. Plus, the fact that he is always in sheer panic/anxiety mode 24/7 has made me laugh on multiple occasions, so I have a big ol' soft spot for him and his chaotic antics.
What Other Regions Would You Want To See in Future Pokemon Legends Titles?
I really like how the Pokemon Legends series has portrayed various regions at different points in time. It would be amazing to see a game that features either Kanto or Johto in a way similar to how Sinnoh was depicted in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Has A Show or Game Ever Gotten You Into A Sport?
I never considered myself a sports fan and avoided competitive athletics—until I discovered Haikyu!!. Volleyball? A sport I barely knew? It didn’t seem interesting, yet from the first episode, I was hooked. Watching Hinata chase his dream was exhilarating. The intense matches, stunning animation, and immersive sound design pulled me in. I found myself cheering, feeling my heart race, and even getting frustrated during critical moments. It was unlike anything I’d experienced from an anime before. More than just exciting matches, Haikyu!! taught me about teamwork, perseverance, and the joy of improving at something you love. Before I knew it, I was watching real volleyball, learning strategies, and even trying to play. What started as a simple anime turned into a real passion for the sport, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Which Is Your Favorite Pokemon From The First Generation?
I'm not sure what it is about Articuno. Maybe it's the fact that the first encounter with it was so memorable (because I spent so long trying to finish the Seafoam Island puzzle in Pokemon Blue). It's certainly not its competitive value. Regardless, though, Articuno has been my favorite Pokemon for all this time.
My Hero Academia - Who is Your Favorite Character in Class 1-B?
I'd easily have to say Tetsutetsu. I just love how he's pretty much a duplicate character of Kirishima, therefore creating one of the most entertaining and hilarious friendly rivalries. However, aside from Tetsutetsu I am also a big fan of Kuroiro, Shiozaki, and Yanagi.
The Best Part of Death Note is Ryuk & Hit Antics
As much as I love to admire the psychological aspects of Death Note and Light's general descent into madness, I have to admit that for me the true highlight is Ryuk. From his silly little dances to his playful obsession with humans, love for apples, and sarcastic remarks, I found myself constantly keeping an eye out for Ryuk to see what kind of shenanigans he was going to get up to next.
Ash Has Had Many Pokemon Journeys - Which Ones Are Your Favorite?
For me, I think it has to be the Johto Region. Johto Journeys in particular was probably my most-watched variant of the Pokemon anime, and holds a special place in my heart since Crystal was also my first game. As much as I love Indigo League, Ash's Johto adventures are my #1 - there's his shiny Noctowl, the iconic opening themes, the evolution of Gary's Eevee into Umbreon, and so much more.
If You Could Have A Pokemon As A Pet In Real Life, Which One Would You Pick?
Though countless Pokemon would make for lovely pets, Mimikyu would be my first pick. The poor thing literally wears a disguise in order to get affection from people! How could you not want to adopt one (or ten)?
Castlevania Nocturne Season 2 Corrected Past Mistakes, But Is Still Lacking in Good Character Development
Though the first season was severely criticized for being a little too lax on characters and their journey of becoming the Vampire Hunters they are meant to be, season 2 redoubled the efforts to confront each of the characters with their inner demons, and making them outgrow their fears. But, sadly, it is not nearly enough to make Richter, Maria, and Annette worthy of representing the spirit of the Castlevania franchise. Alucard plays the role of a supporting character, and it seems quite nerfed for a 300-year-old version of the son of Dracula, paling in comparison to other versions of the half-vampire. Still, one thing they did right: they nailed the character of Marie and her struggle to find peace after she lost both of her parents. Her motivation, inner conflicts, and character growth throughout season 2 were overall okay, though, she deserved more screen time than she got.
Which Marley Soldier in Attack on Titan Was Your Favorite?
Definitely Annie Leonhart, for me. While I understand the reasons so many hate her (Petra's death will always be particularly painful), I thought all of her internal conflict was very well-written, and I really enjoyed the Lost Girls OVA for highlighting those moments. I couldn't help but feel sympathetic to her, especially after learning her backstory - the fact that she was willing to go so far as to return to someone who had been abusive and manipulative to her was nothing short but heartbreaking. Ever since she crystallized herself while being confronted as a traitor, I was highly anticipating if/when she would make a comeback, so seeing her return prior to the final fight was very satisfying. For me, Annie was the character who really sent home that the traitors for Marley weren't bad people, but just kids trying to complete a task that had been handed to them and get back to the place they called home, and it's really due to her characters that I became so interested in other cha
Which Winter 2025 Anime Have You Already Dropped?
So far, I'm still trying to watch everything, but Farmagia, Promise of Wizard, and Momentary Lily have been a struggle.
What Is One Anime You Expected to Hate, but Ended Up Enjoying?
For me, I'd have to say Haikyuu!! - I genuinely did not expect to enjoy it at all, as I had never been a sports anime fan other than watching Kuroko no Basket purely because I had been playing a lot of basketball pretty much my entire life. I gave Haikyuu!! I tried on the off-chance that I found the sketchy/messy art style of some moments to be really interesting when doing an art study of different anime, and I absolutely loved it. I didn't know a single thing about volleyball and had pretty much zero interest in this sport, so I had no expectation of how genuinely impactful the storytelling and how nail-bitingly intense many matches would be. These days, I can not be pumped up when hearing one of Haikyuu!!'s themes or a scene featuring one of the crazy moments, and I'd recommend it within my personal top ten anime of all time.
Which Akatsuki Member Death in Naruto Was the Most Impactful?
While personally, the most emotionally impactful Akatsuki death for me would have to be Konan, I do have to argue that in terms of the overall impact on other characters and the story itself, it would have to be Nagato. Nagato and the Pain arc in my opinion was the best in the entire series, and the way in which Naruto confronted him and managed to sway the ideals he had believed in for so long was one of the most moving parts in the entire show. Furthermore, this change also affected Konan, who spent the rest of her days acting as the protector of the Hidden Rain in honor of both Yahiko and Nagato and trying to establish a promise of peace for future days with Naruto. It's just a shame she didn't get to live long enough to see those things through.
If You Could Undo One Death in My Hero Academia, Who Would You Choose?
Honestly, I'd probably have to go with Stain or Toga, as I believe they were both villains who could have been something totally different. It would have been nice to see them grow from their pasts in some way shape or form, even as unrealistic as that seems for what they had done. Toga in particular was just so young, it felt rather tragic that she ended up where she did and then her decisions ultimately led her to die at such a young age. In both of these characters, "good" was showcased in them on more than one occasion, which is truly the type of villain that I enjoy in storytelling.
If You Could Undo One Death in Attack on Titan, Who Would You Choose?
Honestly, I'd probably have to go with Ymir (freckled). It wasn't until a decent way through the story that I really began to grow an appreciation for her character, but she most certainly stood out to me as the most selfless character in the entire series. All her life, people did her wrong and still she constantly worked to live by her own code, right any wrongs that she made, and take the fall for others simply so that they wouldn't have to. Even though technically she was "free" by sticking to her ideals, it kind of felt like she once again was prioritizing Historia - someone else, over herself, and therefore never got to see true "freedom". I would have much rather seen her pivot to the enemy side and work alongside the Marley soldiers, paying off her "debt" through service and loyalty - which still technically could have worked considering she was so obsessed with Historia's safety. Although, I don't know how satisfying this would be, either, as this is still the opposite of the
